This week we discuss heart disease and heart failure in dogs and cats. This is a relatively common disorder. Many animals with heart disease will live with their condition for quite some time before it becomes a problem to them but this is not always the case and some animals can have a severe and life-threatening crisis. Cats are especially good at hiding their heart disease for some time but they may also be affected by a condition (feline aortic thromboembolism or saddle thrombus) where a blood clot blocks off the blood supply to their back legs. Please have a listen to the podcast and get in touch if you have any questions or comments.
